Cute Candy Corn Handprint Turkey for Thanksgiving

Cute Candy Corn Handprint Turkey for Thanksgiving

Buddy doesn’t go to Pre-K on Friday’s and he wanted to do a project this week.  We headed to Pinterest to do some research for a Thanksgiving project.  The image that grabbed Buddy’s attention and became the inspiration for the days project came from Frogs Snails and Puppy Dog Tails.  We didn’t change much except I let Buddy pick his paper color.

Materials Needed

  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Candy Corn
  • Googly eye

Instructions

  • Trace the child’s hand or have them trace their hand if they can
  • Have the child color the palm section of the hand brown
  • Have the child draw legs and a beak

  • Use glue and attach the candy corn and googly eye

This was a super easy and fun craft.  Buddy enjoys projects like these (meaning projects that include edible materials!).  It is a lot of fun to see the kids skills change more and more as they grow.
