Safety Baby Magnetic Cabinet Locks Review
I wish I had found these safety locks when my kiddos were little before we bought the horrible locks that you have to screw onto all of your drawers and cabinets. Hindsight is always 20/20 right?

I was a bit hesitant to try to install these myself but figured my readers wanted me to write about the installation process. Usually any project like this I defer to Hubby (he is a mechanical engineer and the resident handyman at our house). I opened up the box and it looked easy enough.
I unfolded the piece of paper in the box and expected instructions but it was instead a thank you note for purchasing the locks. I turned the box over and found the directions on the bottom of the box.
As we had previously installed safety locks I could see where my husband had placed them which made the installation a little easier. I peeled the backing off the adhesive strips and attached the lock catch to the inside of the cabinet and the lock to the back of the cabinet door.
After I shut the door I used the included key – it worked quickly and easily to unlatch the lock.
Pros:
- Ease of installation (no tools needed)
- No need to drill holes (great for rental properties)
- Easily removed when no longer needed
- Flip switch provided on lock to deactivate when babies are not present
Cons:
- Cost (you get four of these when you could buy 14 of the spring locks for less than quarter of the price)
Overall I love these child safety locks – they are so easy to install and use! They would be perfect if you have a baby and are renting and need to baby proof without drilling into the cabinets. I highly recommend this product if you are in the market for cabinet locks.
