Fourth of July Roundup

Fourth of July Roundup

Happy Independence Day everyone!  In the holiday spirit I wanted to provide a roundup of ideas that include kids crafts and baking.  These are either things that I have done before or have been shared with me from other bloggers – here goes!  Click on the pictures to be taken to the link where the post originated.  A few pictures are just from my files and do not have an accompanying blog.

Kids Crafts & Activites

Patriotic Suncatchers

 Patriotic Fireworks Painting

 Patriotic Handprint Wreaths

This blog post will go live tomorrow but I’m giving you a preview of the finished product!

Patriotic Piñata

This is one of my mother’s creations – each year we make a piñata with the cousins.  They are typical paper mâche using a punching balloon for the shape.  This one the kids painted when it dried in red and blue and finished it with white hand-prints. (no link)

Hand-print Flag T-shirts

The inspiration came from Crafty Erin.

We made our own shirts that I didn’t get the best picture of (this was pre-blog!). (no link on photo below)

Patriotic Baked Goods

Strawberry Kool-Aid Pie

This awesome creation is from Reviewz & Newz.

#redwhiteblue #4thOfJuly layered Cake

This looks very yummy!  The recipe is from The Simply Me Blog.

Memorial Day Kids Flag Cake Recipe

This is a super cute recipe for a flag cake from The Simply Me Blog.

Star Fireworks Sugar Cookies

You need three different sized star cookie cutters, your best recipe for sugar cookies and butter cream and a lot of time! (no link)

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!!
