In preparation for our #DisneySide @Home Celebration party I reached out to Brothers-All-Natural to see if they would be interested in providing some of their Disney Fruit Crisps for our party. They graciously said yes and I offered to provide a review of the product as well – so here we are.
We received the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Variety Fruit Crisps 24 pack.
We have not had these snacks in our house before so it was the first time both the kids and I were exposed to them. I took out on package of each flavor, apple, strawberry banana, and pear. I got out six small snack cups – one for each flavor for both kids and got ready for their taste test.
First up was apple:
The kids both said “Yum – these taste good” upon me asking what they thought. They promptly inhaled them so that is also a good sign. I tasted them and did not like the initial texture and taste but the finishing flavor was very good. I will disclose that I am a bit weird about textures so this could just be me!
Next was strawberry banana:
The kids said these were good and ate them quickly. I asked if they liked them better than the apple ones and they said yes. I tried these and liked them a lot more – the texture was a bit crunchier and seemed more like a dried piece to me. The flavor was very good
We finished with pear:
The kids said these were “yummy”. When I asked them their favorite of all three they said Pear – I wonder if this was true or just because they were the last ones they tasted (they are only 3 and 4 after all!). With these ones again I had a texture issue but liked the final flavor after the fruit had melted.
Overall the Fruit Crisps were definitely winners with the kids.
I wasn’t a huge fan because of the texture but that doesn’t really matter as I wouldn’t be buying them for me! These are great for on the go snacks when you don’t have time to peel and cut fruit, they would also be great in lunchboxes or in your diaper bag as an emergency snack for a little one. I love that they do not have any added preservatives or artificial flavors and that they have the awesome Disney packaging (I love any way to show our #DisneySide). My kids love fruit and this is an awesome way to provide it when we are traveling. This won’t be a substitute for fresh fruit in our house but it will definitely be an additional option for us. I would recommend these as a very healthy snack option for busy on the go moms.
