Easy Kid Craft: Colorful Spring Butterfly Suncatcher
Spring is officially here and I am excited! To celebrate in Maine we
Materials Needed
- Contact paper
- Tissue paper (assorted colors) – cut into small pieces
- Tape
- Scissors
- Any color construction paper
Instructions
- Cut one piece of contact paper large enough to fold over and cover your butterfly. Tape each corner to your work surface and peel the backing.
- Cut strips of construction paper to make the outline of a butterfly (I used a butterfly mask as a pattern – you can freehand or print an image to trace).
- Cut squares of tissue paper.
- Have your child apply the tissue paper inside the butterfly outline.
- Once finished fold the top of the contact paper down sealing the tissue paper and butterfly outline. Rub the top to remove air bubbles.
- Cut extra material off around the outline of the butterfly.
- Tape to a window and enjoy!
