Whimsical Winnie the Pooh Kids Birthday Party
Do you love Winnie the Pooh? I certainly do – growing up my favorite character was Eeyore. When I found out we were having a baby I knew the nursery would be Winnie the Pooh themed because 1) I love Winnie the Pooh and 2) it is a great gender neutral theme. My daughter grew up surrounded by Winnie the Pooh and grew to love him too!
I am joining a great group of bloggers to celebrate Winnie the Pooh Day on A.A. Milne’s Birthday. What better way to celebrate then to talk about a Winnie the Pooh Birthday. Read on to take a look at Boo Boo’s first birthday.
To create a great kids themed party I always focus on the following areas:
- Themed cake
- Themed decorations
- Themed plates/napkins
- Themed party favors
- Themed party games
- Themed food (optional – depending on how much time is left after decorating the cake!)
Winnie the Pooh Kids Birthday Party Supplies
This was our first child and her first birthday party so we went all out. I ordered the Winnie the Pooh 1st birthday plates, cups, napkins, party favors, party hats, bib, candle, decorations and all from Birthday Direct I believe. Unfortunately the style we bought is no longer available but here are a few links for Winnie the Pooh 1st birthday supplies.

Winnie the Pooh Kids Birthday Party Cake
I love decorating cakes and for this party I borrowed a friends 3-D Wilton Winnie the Pooh Cake pan. This is a discontinued style but sometimes you can find them on Ebay. Here is a link to the pan on the Wilton site:
Since this was Boo Boo’s first birthday I also made her a small smash cake with the first birthday Pooh candle on it.
She had a great time with the smash cake as you can tell below:
Winnie the Pooh Kids Birthday Party Games
As this was a first birthday party we didn’t do any games – most of the kids were really young and they just played with the toys in our house. Below find a list of some great Winnie the Pooh themed party games:
