Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove Review
Do you love Disney? Are you in need of a taste of that Disney magic without taking a trip to Florida or California? The great thing about Disney is that they have traveling shows that allow you to have a taste of the magic closer to home. Last night we drove to Portland, Maine to watch Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove. Read on for my complete Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove Review.
The show was great! I think I loved it as much if not more than the kids (but what can I say?? I LOVE Disney!). The kids got to see their favorite characters and so many more. Treasure Trove is a great show for all Disney fans as so many different characters make appearances. Buddy’s favorite part was with Captain Hook and Boo Boo loved the finale with all of the princesses.
We were seated in section M, row 5, seats 6-9. The seats offered an amazing view of the show and faced straight out to the back where the “stage” was. I am pretty sure any seat in the house would have been great as the skaters went all around the ice so the action wasn’t limited to just the stage.
We attended the first show but you still have plenty of opportunities left to get tickets and take your family as well. The additional shows are listed below.

My Review
The show started at 7pm which is a bit late for my kids (they usually are in bed at 7pm) but we can’t miss all of these fun things just because of bedtime right?? Every now and then we break the rules 🙂 Parents prerogative!
The show was broken into two acts and has a brief intermission in between the acts. The show was narrated by the classic characters, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. The first act was definitely more of my sons favorite characters. The show started with green army men and we all know who they go with – Buzz and Woody and the rest of the Toy Story gang! My son was in heaven watching his favorite characters skate.
Next to the ice came Alice and Wonderland – my kids have seen it but it is not one of their favorites. The final part of the first act was Peter Pan – my kids have seen this movie multiple times and my son loves Captain Hook. Asked after the show Buddy stated that “Hookie” was his favorite part. (Disclaimer – the singing of a Pirate’s Life for Me has now got me longing for a trip to Magic Kingdom to go on the Pirate’s of the Caribbean ride)
Here is a slideshow of pictures I took from the first act (some are blurry – I learned its really hard to get good pictures of figure skating!):

After the brief intermission the second act started. The second act was much faster paced than the first. First to the ice was Lion King – this is my favorite movie (and was my favorite part of the show). Next came Snow White, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, The Princess and the Frog and the finale. Asked after the show Boo Boo stated her favorite part was all of the Princesses (I’m glad I kept her awake so she could see them!).

This is a short video of the finale which was definitely Boo Boo’s favorite part as all of the princesses came out.
