Luck of the Irish Mickey Mouse Oreo Pops
I’m so excited for St. Patrick’s day! I love that holiday’s provide us with reasons for some fun themed family projects. I was trying to think of a fun St. Patrick’s Day dessert I could make with the kids and came up with Luck of the Irish Mickey Mouse Oreo Pops. I have previously made Mickey Mouse Oreo Pops for our Mickey themed Valentine’s Day party. They were a hit with kids and adults alike so I decided to modify them to make a fun St. Patrick’s day dessert.
Materials Needed
- 1 Package Double Stuff Oreos
- 1 Package of Mini Oreos
- 1 package of Green Candy Melts
- St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles
- Green or White round candies (could be M&M’s – I’m using leftover Christmas Sixlets)
- Wilton lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Scrape the filling off of the mini Oreos (you need two per finished Oreo Pop so scrape as many as needed for your final yield).
- Stick two mini Oreos into the filling of one regular sized Oreo (arrange to make look like a Mickey head)
- Repeat until you have all of your Mickey heads completed
- Heat the candy melts – follow the package directions
- Dip the bottom of the Mickey head in the melted green candy.
- Dip the lollipop stick in green candy and insert in the bottom of the Mickey head
- Attach the green or white candies as buttons and decorate with St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles as desired
- Let harden for roughly 30 minutes
- Enjoy!
